EMCO supplies a wide range of workshop equipment to CORE

EMCO provided five EMCO CNC machines, two 3D Systems 3D printer – one prints models in colour the other in plastic, a hand held 3D laser scanner, an Epilog 60W laser cutter, a Techno 3ft x 2ft router and the first Kern 2.5 x 1.3 m metal cutting laser in this country as well as fitting a complete workshop and CNC CAD/CAM CNC classroom area.

Originally, the centre was geared towards the needs of learners within the 14-19 age range and qualifications such as the MPD Diploma, Applied GCSE, A level, NVQ’S levels 1 to 4, BTEC and apprenticeship delivery.

Now , all learners, students, and employees can benefit from a whole of host of other specialist qualifications and bespoke programmes which range from mechatronics to maintenance strategy and industrial skills.

For the 14-19 year olds, the centre reproduces and simulates the real-life business of manufacturing across a range of sub-sectors.
