Solidscape unveils S390 3D printer for jewellery market

Solidscape, a manufacturer of 3D printing systems wholly owned by Stratasys, has introduced the latest addition to its range of 3D printing systems designed for the jewellery market.

The S390 promises the same level of precision as other Solidscape machines but delivered in even faster. It has been brought to market to increase the efficiency of manufacturers, service bureaux and investment casters, bringing prototyping and production down, and thus accelerating time-to-market.

It becomes the third, and largest, component of the company’s S300 series, and boasts a ‘whisper-quiet’ industrial dust collection system, fully integrated software, and supports ‘best-in-class’ wax build material and dissolvable support material. The supports are automatically generated, and when dissolved, leave no material behind to lead a pristine and durable wax model ready for casting, per Solidscape.

For a long time, Solidscape was the go to OEM for jewellers looking to incorporate 3D printing into their manufacturing workflows. Though now receiving competition from the likes of 3D Systems and EnvisionTEC, it still remains among the most prevalent 3D printing companies in the sector. A position sure to be reinforced by this latest addition to the portfolio.

“The S390 is addressing the needs of our jewellery customers in terms of faster production turn-arounds without compromising precision and quality,” commented Fabio Esposito, Solidscape President & CEO. “The higher level of reliability and speed offered by the S300 Series secures consistent and faster production combined with Solidscape renowned printing accuracy and precision.”

Solidscape is showcasing the new S390 system at the MJSA Expo from March 11th – 13th, at Booth #328.
